Tarte Flambée with Goat Cheese and Honey

Ingredients

  • 125g plain flour + 2 tbsp for dusting
  • 50g wholemeal flour
  • 2g dried yeast
  • 140g lukewarm water
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

for the topping

  • 150g soured cream
  • 1 onion, finely sliced
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, coarsely chopped
  • 150g goat cheese (Buche de Chevre)
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp of runny honey

Instruction

Mix the white and brown flour, salt, and yeast in a bowl. Add the water and oil. Use a hand or stand mixer with a dough hook attachment, (or use a wooden spoon ) and knead until you have a smooth dough. Set aside and leave for 20 to 30 minutes to rise.

Preheat the oven to 200 °C and prepare your baking tray with baking parchment.

On a well floured surface, roll out the dough and place it onto a baking tray. Spread the soured cream on the base. Place the onions and the sliced goat cheese on top and sprinkle with rosemary, salt and pepper.

Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. To serve drizzle the honey on top.
