Propolis

Propolis is the second of the building materials in the bees nest. The bees collect it mainly from trees. It is used as a strong adhesive to seal cracks smaller than 3mm. Due to it’s antibiotic and antiviral properties it is also used to disinfect areas like the entrance of the hive, or mummify intruders like mice or bigger insects that can’t be removed by the bees due to their size. The Egyptians used it to mummify their kings as well.
